Westonka Public Schools has in place policies, procedures and practices that are designed to reduce and eliminate bullying and harassment as well as processes and procedures to deal with incidents of bullying and harassment when they occur.

eLearning Days are intended to provide continuous learning in the event school has been closed due to weather.

Before students use different web-based educational tools, staff members at each school will discuss with students appropriate use of technology based on District Policy 5160

Parents of students who attend one of Westonka Public Schools' Title I schools have the right, under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA) of 2001, to know the professional qualifications of the teachers who instruct their children.

During the 2026–27 school year, all Minnesota K–12 students, including Westonka preschool students, can receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day. No application is needed for free meals, but families are encouraged to complete the Application for Educational Benefits, which may qualify them for additional benefits, reduce school fees, and help secure funding and other resources for the school.

Every school district is required to report to the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) student data by race and ethnicity categories that are set by the federal government.

Occasionally, the school district utilizes surveys to gather student opinions and information. Parents have the right to review the survey prior to administration and may choose to not have their child participate in the survey.

Possession and use of tobacco/nicotine by students, staff, visitors, and tenants is strictly prohibited in school buildings and vehicles, on school property, and at school or district-sponsored events or activities, which are under District jurisdiction.
