Wolf Ridge

YOU DO! It costs approximately $425 for each student to attend Wolf Ridge.  Because funding for this program is not part of the school district’s budget, students work throughout their years at Hilltop to raise the funds necessary to cover the cost of this trip.  Our Wolf Ridge coordinators will help organize school-wide fundraisers and solicit private donations from families, corporations, and local civic organizations to help our families pay for this week-long adventure.

Funds raised by your student will accumulate in an individual account.  All money raised through school fundraiser will accumulate independent of any and all other student’s fundraising efforts. You have the option to forgo fundraising and simply deposit money into your child’s account in order to avoid paying one large lump sum in the fourth grade. Please note that any money deposited in this account does not accrue interest and is non-refundable if you should leave the district.

Beginning in kindergarten, each family should fundraise or contribute $85 into your child’s account. First grade students should have $170, second grade $255, third grade $340 and $425 prior to the fourth grade trip.

Any balance unpaid, must be paid out of pocket. We have very few dollars for scholarships, so we expect each family to fundraise throughout their years at Hilltop.

If your child is new to Hilltop and has recently moved in, the family is responsible for making up the difference in the account. This can be done in two ways, fundraise until the required amount is achieved or make a personal monetary donation to your child’s account.

Each year families in grades K-4 have an opportunity to fundraise through the Read-a-thon.

Each January, there is a Wolf Ridge meeting for all THIRD GRADE parents. Information about the program and how to volunteer for and/or chaperone the trip is discussed. Applications to volunteer/chaperone are handed out and collected at this meeting.
