The Westonka Community Theatre’s Children’s Playhouse is proud to present “Summer Camp” at the WHS Little Theater on Friday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 14, at 9:30 a.m. No tickets are required, but donations will be accepted at the door.

A total of 37 students in grades two through six are involved in the production, which is directed by Heidi Richardson-Duggan. Theresa Schmidt is music director, and Angela Sheridan is assistant director. Students worked hard, putting the full production together in just six rehearsals.

“Summer Camp” is a musical caper about finding a place to belong. The story is about kids at camp and how facing the challenges of being away from home for the first time, learning responsibility, and life without screens can really have a good impact on a kid's life. This wacky production will take you through the mighty highs and comic lows of summer camp.

“There is LOTS of music and fun, and a few bugs along the way,” said Richardson-Duggan.

Children's Playhouse is presented by Westonka Community Theatre in partnership with Westonka Community Education. Children’s Playhouse is grateful for support from the greater Westonka theatre community.
